The popular brand of Chinese origin has renewed its well-known low-cost quantifying bracelet. We talk about the Xiaomi Mi Band 2, a device that is revealed as the perfect ally of our iPhone to quantify everything related to our physical activity, measure our sleep and even keep a record of our pulsations.
Today at Applelizados we make an exception and we talk about the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 Because, after having used its previous version for a year and a half, and after having also been an Apple Watch user for about a year, I can confirm that this is, at least, one of the best accessories that we can buy to use together to our iPhone.

La Xiaomi Mi Band 2 represents a notable qualitative leap from the first generation of this wearable. Now incorporate a OLED display high resistance and low consumption that allows us to view all the registered data by simply touching your single touch button. In this way, one of the main advantages of use now is that we no longer have to open the app We Fit to check the distance we have walked, the steps taken, our heart rate or the calories we have burned, since we have everything on our wrist.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 has improved your system algorithm and is now more precise when it comes to counting steps, measuring downtime, and so on.
And another of the great points in favor is its great resistance. As soon as you pick up the bracelet, you will realize that this is not "cheap plastic"; it is comfortable, resistant, weighs nothing and has an international IP67 rating, so resistant to dust, water and sweat.
Some of the main characteristics of the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 are:
- 0.42 inch OLED screen
- Bluetooth 4.0
- Accelerometer
- Heart rate sensor
- USB cable charging
- Smart alarm
- Logged data history
- IP67 resistance to water and dust
- Battery: 70 mAh
- Autonomy of 20 days
- Weight of only 7 g
- Compatible with iOS 7.0 or higher and Android 4.4 or higher
- Automatic unlock if you use any of the Xiaomi smartphone models: compatible.
What can I do with the Xiaomi Mi Band 2?
La Mi Band 2 It is a wearable device especially suitable for professional athletes, amateurs or for anyone who wants to keep track of their physical activity and improve it. With it you can:
- Count the steps taken
- Count the distance traveled
- Set goals and get a vibrate notification when you've reached them
- Control your heart rate
- Count the calories you have burned
- Measure your sleep cycles
- Consult all the history of your registered data
- Set a smart alarm that will wake you up each morning in a progressive and natural way
- Receive notification by vibration when receiving a call
And all this, without having to take it off, because you can run with it, sleep, shower and even go to the beach.
If you want a quantifying bracelet that does not stress you out with continuous notifications, with a very careful and elegant design, high resistance, and at an almost bargain price, we recommend buy the Xiaomi Mi Band 2, surely you will not regret it. Also, if you prefer any of the previous models without a screen, you can opt for the Mi Band 1 or the Mi Band 1s now at a better price than ever.

Hello, I would like to know if the heart rate is compatible not the Runtastic application
Thank you very much
Hello Miguel. I think not. All the functions of the Xiaomi Mi Band are compatible with the Mi Fit app itself (of course) and with the Health app of the iPhone, being able to see all the parameters measured with the bracelet there. But I think it is not compatible with another app like Runtastic.
Hello, I have entered by chance and I have seen your comment. Tell you that if possible, you have to download an application called my HR from the AppStore. With it installed you follow the following steps:
1.- you run my Fit for the bracelet to be synchronized with the mobile
2.- in miHR you activate the heart rate
3.- In runtastic you have to search for a heart rate device and it should appear.
It is explained a bit roughly, but if you search in Google or YouTube you will surely find how it is done
Hello, do you have a stopwatch?
Hello, I wanted to know if the mi band 2 is compatible with iphone when it comes to RECEIVING NOTIFICATIONS FROM OTHER APPLICATIONS, as in Android, since I have been told that on iphone the mi band is only capable of notifying calls and whatsap (strictly speaking of applications) Thank you!
PS: good post
Hi
I would like to know what application I have to download on my iphone to be able to use my band 2. I have downloaded My fit and it does not come in Spanish.
Hello, thanks for the information. What I would like to know is if you can see the calories from the screen of the bracelet or do you have to go to the app?
Thank you I hope answer please.
Is there any other myban2 iphone app? It won't let me link them I have deleted it and it won't let me install it again
Hi there!! Maricuchy to your comment I will tell you that if you can put it in Spanish you just have to choose Mexican Spanish in the iPhone language. As for notifications, I have an iPhone6 and none of them are working for me. Just the calls. and nobody gives me a solution
