WhatsApp Web is now available for Safari on OS X

WhatsApp web is now available for Mac users in Safari. It is true that the messaging web application has been around for a while, specifically since January of this year, but until now it was not available for the native OS X browser, Safari.

In I'm from Mac we published last March the arrival of this service messaging for Safari and now we have it available. It is certainly an important step for those users who want to have the option of sending and receiving messages from their Mac with the Safari browser. Let's see the steps to start using it.

The first thing is to enter Web WhatsApp from our Safari browser. Now we have to connect our WhatsApp account with the Mac, for this we have to access from the smartphone application by scanning the QR code entering: whatsApp settings> WhatsApp Web in our smartphone app. The device camera will be activated and we scan the code.

This is where the supported OSs appear and where we see that iOS is not present… We can synchronize our account with OS Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Nokia S40 and Nokia S60, Today.

For the moment we have to reproach this WhatsApp Web incorporation in Safari that it is not compatible with the iPhone, we imagine or want to believe that it will be due to problems with Apple's permissions ... In addition, the web tool has some limitations Regarding the functions that we have available with WhatsApp on our smartphone or other web browsers, as we already warned at the time, for example, we are not allowed to use the Mac camera to take our photographs and send them or the inability to send a voice message, something which is 'so fashionable' lately.

This is an interesting tool for users of WhatsApp and Safari, but today it still has rivals that I personally think surpass it in messaging service for OS X / Mac. Here the popular saying is good: for tastes, colors.
