Although we have a lot of memory and more and more, it doesn't hurt from time to time to uninstall applications on iPhone in order to save some space or avoid having applications that are constantly out of use.
And although the process is relatively simple, there are people who, due to their inexperience on the platform, do not know how to uninstall an application on iPhone. If you are one of those users, do not worry, you will learn how to do it in no time.
How to uninstall an application on an iPhone from the mobile itself

The process to uninstall an application on an iPhone is very simple, although to be honest, there are two methods to do it from the iPhone itself that we will see below.
Uninstall the app from the Home screen itself
This is the most traditional method to delete an application on an iPhone without much complexity. To do so, follow the steps below:
- Find the icon of the app you want to uninstall on your iPhone's home screen.
- Press and hold the app icon until all the icons start to shake and a screen appears. X in the upper left corner of the application icons.
- Touch it on the icon of the application that you want to delete and you will see that a confirmation popup.
- Press Delete in the pop-up window to confirm that you want to uninstall the app.
With this, the application in question will be uninstalled and its icon will disappear from the home screen. It is important that you keep in mind that not only will the application disappear, but the data and settings of it will disappear from your device irreversibly.
To exit uninstall mode, you just have to press the home button (on models with Touch ID) or the side button (on models with Face ID) and the icons will stop shaking and go back to being static as before.
You can also uninstall apps from the AppStore.
Another option you have to uninstall applications from your iPhone is use own AppStorand. Obviously, to do so you must enter the application store and once inside, follow the following steps:
- Tap your profile picture in the upper right corner to open your Apple account.
- Scroll down until you find the section My shopping. There you will see a list of all the applications you have downloaded or purchased.
- Find the app you want to uninstall.
- Once you've found it, touch the X with a circle next to the application name.
- A confirmation popup will appear. press Delete to confirm that you want to uninstall the app.
Once you have done this, if you go back to the main menu you will see that the application you have deleted is no longer available on your phone and therefore, we can consider it deleted.
Leaving an app on Standby is an alternative to uninstalling it on iPhone

As we have said, when uninstalling an application from the iPhone we will also lose all the content that we have in it as long as we have not made any backup or that the app itself does not have integration with any cloud service.
But there is also an intermediate option to elimination, which is leave the app on standby without leaving it operational, but with the certainty that the data of it will not be lost when deleting it.
To do so, we must enter the menu Settings of our iPhone and access General / Storage.
There we will see the list of applications that we currently have installed on our device. If we enter the one we want to uninstall, we will see that the button will appear below Uninstall app.
The difference is that, if we do it from here, the application will continue to appear on our home screen, but with its logo blurred with a cloud, as if it were waiting to be downloaded.
As such, the app won't take up more space than the data stored inside and we won't be able to use it until we download it from the AppStore, but If we do, we'll stay exactly where we were. before uninstalling it.
Can you uninstall apps using iTunes?

In the past, there was no problem uninstalling any app we had from iTunes, but starting with version 12.7 Apple removed this option leaving only the deletion from the device itself as the only officially supported option.
And this makes sense, since it was complicating what is apparently very easy and that does not deserve to have any complexity, besides that with this action Apple happened to cover one of the possible security holes that could be exploited by users who wanted to jailbreak their devices.
If you still want to manage your apps from PC or Mac, try TunesGo

Although, as we have said, iTunes no longer supports this functionality, it is still present in the iPhone's connection protocols with your PC or Mac, so with the right tool, you will be able to install or uninstall applications on an iPhone without having to touch the screen.
And for this we will use WonderShare TunesGo: The Swiss army knife for managing your iPhone and one of my favorite apps for managing anything between a PC or Mac and an iPhone.
Basically because offers the same thing that iTunes did but in a much easier way and leaving us a degree of freedom in the management of our device that is not usual in the Apple platform.
Within the application, you will see that there is an icon called Applications. All the apps you have installed on your phone will be listed there.
On the left you will see the menu surgery, where there is the option to forward or delete. So if we want to uninstall them, we simply have to click on the trash can icon and a popup will appear asking us to confirm if we want to delete the application.
Once we say yes, those applications will automatically be deleted from our device without much complexity.
