If you are one of those who just recently made the jump to Mac and you don't get used to it using the dock and menu bar With this application you will be able to install an excellent imitation of the Windows task bar in OS X, in this way the change will not be so abrupt and you can get more out of the system in general from the first minute.
The truth is that the integration that has been achieved with the application is quite good, that is, now applications are displayed just as they would on Windows where they are grouped by open windows within a list and that we can close directly in the bar by right clicking with the mouse and clicking on »Quit» or by choosing the open window that we want directly.
On the other hand we will also have available a button on the left identified as «uB» that will act as a Windows button and in which we can select actions such as Turn off the computer, Restart, open the terminal or directly access the main Finder folders among many others. We can also edit the folders to add more to the main menu, even change the identifying icon from the preferences of the application itself.
The downside is that it doesn't really modify the dock to show this appearance but install an extra bar, so the dock will remain active and hidden (if we decide to hide it, otherwise it will remain superimposed on top of uBar) so it will sometimes be activated and will remain above giving a weird appearance to the whole.
uBar is available on the company's website in its full version with a price of € 16,85 although if you want to see how it works, there is also a Lite version in the Mac App Store completely free.
