TV Spain DTT, a great app to watch TV on your Mac

Traditionally - and I include myself - television on the Mac we have seen through a USB DTT tuner, which are not usually cheap and in the case of MacBook occupy one of the few USB that we have. With TV Spain DTT we will save a good dough, and with the launch offer the application only costs 0,79 euros.

Simple ... and it works

Now there is another way to watch television having almost all the DTT channels at hand, and it is through this application. It allows you to access the channels in a matter of seconds and watch them thanks to our Internet connection.

The application is made without an iota of Flash and using all the technologies of Mac OS X Lion, so performance is excellent and memory consumption is minimal within logical limits.

Regarding the quality of the video, it should be mentioned that it depends totally on the stream of the channels, which is usually good but in some it can really be improved. I personally see the perfect video quality to use as a window while we do more things with the Mac like surf the Internet, but it can be put to full screen.

it only works for Lion and I have Snow Leopard …… ..Why ???

      Carlinhos said

They use exclusive Lion frameworks to improve performance… it is normal for apps to become Lion-only because the adoption% is very high, 70% + according to some statistics.

Well, I notice a drop in performance with lion on my MacBook pro 2008 that's why I went back to Snow Leopard

Joe, Lion is designed for 64-bit 100% that is, kernel, efi, etc ... Your Mac from 2008 may have a 32-bit kernel hence not everything is milk fast.

If I can assure you that a 2010 Lion MacBookPro runs about 4 times faster than SnowLeopard.

And I can also assure you that in a 24 ″ white C2D iMac at 2'16 ghz, Lion jams and therefore continues with SL.

I'm going to test the app.

Hello… does this program work if you are outside of Spain?
    Thank you.

With what promotional price! Well, they have charged me € 1,98 and not the 0,79.

      Carlinhos said

Pecenet: it is impossible that they have charged you € 1,98 for a simple reason: the App Store has fixed prices: 0,79 - 1,59 - 2,39… etc.

      EuroPatrol said

For Pecenet, the AppStore has not really charged you for the application, that amount is because they are buying if your credit card that you have put to buy the application is valid or not (they only do it the first time you enter the data of the card). After 10 days or so they will refund the total amount of € 1,98. The € 0,79 of the application will be charged to you throughout that day or the next day.

PS I meant "that amount is because they are checking if ..." Excuse me!

    Perfect EuroPatrol clarification.
