Many of you are asking what happened to the volume adjustment sound in OS X Yosemite and the answer is simple, Apple has deactivated it as standard in the new operating system but offers us the option to activate it again. It is clear that many users are not missing the characteristic sound that the Mac emitted when we raised or lowered the volume, but this new OS X adds a new improved sound and it is worth activating it to see if we leave it active or not.
To activate the warning sound when raising or lowering the volume, we only have to access the System preferences and make 'a couple of clicks' that will allow us to activate it. Let's see how you hear this renewed sound that the guys from Cupertino have added in OS X Yosemite that is deactivated when we install it on our Mac, but I already say in advance that I personally like the change.
We have many new configuration options in Yosemite, adjust transparencies, adjust contrast, activate dark mode, among many others that you can see on the blog ... To activate or deactivate the sound we only have to access the System preferences and enter Sound, click on the tab Sound effects and at the bottom we find the option Play sound when changing volume. We select it with the check and we already have the new active sound.

It is interesting to take the test and activate it on our Mac because they have really improved it, in previous versions of OS X it could even be annoying for some users.
