Time Machine and deleted files from iCloud

ICLOUD TIME MACHINE

Who has not been in the situation of having bought an external hard drive and when connecting it to a Mac, it automatically throws us a message asking us if we want to use that disk to make backup copies of time Machine. According to Wikipedia, it is a backup software developed by Apple INC. to make backup copies. It comes bundled with the Mac OSX operating system and was introduced with the release of version 10.5 “Leopard”.

Subsequently, the iCloud cloud was launched, which keeps our devices perfectly synchronized, especially in applications such as iPhoto, Pages, Numbers and Keynote. Today we are going to tell you what to do if you have accidentally deleted files from iCloud and later want to recover them.

As you know, when you activate the iCloud service on your devices and the Mac, each of the files that you can have or make on the Mac will appear automatically on all iDevices. However, on more than one occasion it will have happened to you that suddenly when misusing the device or changing the synchronization properties with iCloud you delete those files. If this happens to you, what you should do is enter the Mac, open the application related to the accidentally deleted files and leave it in the foreground on the desktop. Then, open Time Machine, go back in time inside the tool until you see that the files appear inside the window that you left in the foreground. At that point, copy the files you need and paste them onto your current desktop. Later you will be able to re-enter them in said application and have them synchronize again on all devices.

Have a backup with Time Machine is very important and on more than one occasion it will get you out of trouble. As for how you should make a copy if you weren't already doing it:

As we mentioned before, buy an external disk with a capacity equal to or greater than that of the internal disk of the Mac, since if not, in a short time you will start having messages saying that you have a full disk to make copies and that you have to delete copies ancient.

When we connect that disk, the system asks us if we want to use it with Time Machine, to which we will answer yes. Later on, a slow process begins that copies each and every one of the files that we have on the disk into the new disk. When Time Machine already has the complete copy, it begins a continuous work that is based on verifying the files that are modifying their creation date and therefore that they have been modified. When it identifies them, it makes a new copy of it and not of the entire system.

TIME MACHINE MESSAGE

Time Machine makes use of what we call "HARDS LINKS" And it is nothing other than when we invoke the copy of a certain day, if 12 files were modified on that day, those files will be the ones shown and all the rest of the system is common to all copies since they have not changed.

As you can see, having Time Machine active and getting along with it can save you some good headaches.
