Today I received the thanks of a co-worker who yesterday was reading the article that was inspired by his problem, the one in which he talked about the syncing the new locations in macOS Sierra. This colleague came to the world of the bitten apple a long time ago and is increasingly happy with the decision made.
Today I publish a new article aimed at all those users who are reaching the world of the apple and we are going to talk about how to manage windows on a Mac.
Managing windows on a Mac, more specifically on macOS Sierra, the new system that Cupertino's have made available to users is not much more complex than what we can find on other systems such as Windows, pBut they have certain options that make it more productive.
What we are going to talk to you today can be applied in previous versions of the system although the new resizing of vitamin windows has come from the hand of macOS Sierra. As you may have seen, windows in the Mac system have three buttons in the upper left. With red we close the window completely, with orange what we do is minimize the window and with green we go to full screen, yes, full screen and not maximize. Apple implemented full screen mode long ago that makes it possible to take advantage of the screen much better on notebooks such as the 11-inch MacBook Air or 12-inch MacBook.
To resize the windows what we have to do is bring the cursor closer to the lower right corner to any of the four corners until we get the resize arrows. This behavior has been improved in macOS Sierra and now we can resize from the four corners, facilitating the action in many cases.*
UPGRADE
When we talk about maximizing from the 4 corners in macOS Sierra, we mean that if you go to any of the 4 corners and double-click, the window is maximized towards the corner you have indicated.
Pedro, it is not the first article of yours that appears on the Google Now list, in the two times that they go I have been deeply disappointed. To have asked for those minutes of my life reading a bad article. Badly done, little information and erroneous information that is the worst, without sources, without links to official articles, saying that it is not more complex than Windows, when you have no idea about the abysmal differences in the kernels of the system.
It's a shame that you have to post several bad articles to get to your couta and get paid. More is my courage for people will read it by appearing to you in your articles section and they will find tremendously disappointing information.
I really don't think you like technology, because if you did, you would investigate more and if you like to report, you would write articles with better content.
I recommend that before using your Mac and complaining about file synchronization errors with iCloud in Sierra, hire a decent Internet. Here in Mexico the standard is 20Mbits at home and we have 200Mbits at the office and believe me, you will not have problems uploading your files. Because I also read what you wrote, complaining about the system when you have an Internet that won't even load you 4chan. Now get on your computer and do your research before talking about something you barely know.
Resizing windows with all four corners is available from 10.7 Lion, a 5 year old system.
I hope I do not find another post of yours and if so, it is something worth reading.

Totally in agreement with colleague Alberto, the resizing of windows has been around for a long time, what a terrible article, such a poor note of content, it seems like a poorly done elementary school task.
It is precisely that there are people who are at the elementary level and buy a Mac. Do we have to discard those people who need help? Thanks for the input.
Nothing has changed in MacOS Sierra ……. it could be done with the captain and even with previous versions, resize from any corner ... Oh my god ... I can't believe you wrote that ...
Before commenting you should read a little about the news of the system. If things have improved. And believe it or not, we are a blog read by many users and not everyone who reads us is as expert as you. I have colleagues who come to the world of computing with a Mac and do not even know how to create a folder, so before criticizing the work we do for those users with zero knowledge of the system, what you should be congratulating us when you like an article and not only when you don't like it. Thanks for the input.
Hello Pedro,
I'm not complaining about the level of knowledge. The complaint comes because the article is poorly explained, at no time have you referred to the fact that it is auto-resizing by double clicking, you are talking about simply resizing the window around the corners, implying that you can do something that you could actually already in older versions. Now that you have corrected the article and added that it is about automatic resizing by double clicking, the article makes sense and I find it even curious since I did not know about this new feature of Macos Sierra.
I think that is what has happened with the majority of comments, you have not been able to explain well what you were talking about. The article lacked precision and more details. For the rest, as I have said, it seems to me good that these topics are discussed, although they seem basic, many people (in this case I) do not know it
And the funniest thing about it is that precisely the two novelties that macOS Sierra incorporates regarding the management of windows are not even mentioned in the article.
For those who do not know, the first characteristic is that of «magnetic windows», which consists in that when one window is slowly approached to any other, its position automatically adjusts to that of the window that is fixed as if it were attracted by a magnet so it is easier to align the windows on the desktop. The second novelty is that when you double click on any of the four edges of a window, it expands in the corresponding direction until it reaches the edge of the screen.
Thanks for your input. The article has been updated to make it clearer what was meant by improvements in macOS Sierra. a greeting
Pedro, thank you for your contribution and those of us who come from Windows are very green and this news helps us. Thanks again and keep it up.
The process of minimizing windows is too slow and time consuming.
Before it was much better: a simple click on the green button. And the fit was much better in the previous systems, now there is too much empty and useless space in the window; I mean, they are huge windows.
It seems to me that it has gotten much, much worse.
