Turkey's third Apple Store to open in 2016

Plans to launch a third Apple Store in Turkey would place the store in the exclusive Plaza Emaar shopping center which is currently under construction in the city of Istanbul.

Emaar is a Dubai based company and is one of the largest real estate companies in the world with different with more than 14.000 homes in Dubai and different international projects in various countries, including Turkey. On this occasion Emaar is the company responsible for the construction of this shopping center. According to Mac Reports, the real estate company would be in talks with Apple and they would have practically closed an agreement to open a new Apple Store at some point in 2016.

This leisure complex, in addition to the shopping center itself, will have a hotel, apartments and offices. The mall It will be located in an indoor and outdoor space which will accommodate 491 venues along with the world's largest indoor aquarium, a multiplex theater, and much more.

Apple's choice of property is similar to its flagship store in the Zorlu Center, another multi-use complex in the heart of Istanbul. It is not known if Apple plans to install one monolithic glass structure in this store, as it does with some of its Significant Stores, since this type of construction is only reserved for its most ironic and emblematic stores such as the one on 5th Avenue in New York.

The store in Emaar Square will be the third Apple will open in Istanbul after the Zorlu and Akasya Shopping Center, both of which they were launched during 2014.
