By now it is clear to all of us that Apple does an excellent job in terms of the noise level of its equipment. Logically, some Macs make more noise than others and having the computer working at maximum performance can make the fans ring, but not in the new Mac Pro. This beast, in addition to being really powerful, makes even less noise than it may seem and that is engineering work done with this new equipment allows the user to work with less decibels than those emitted by an iMac Pro. And yes, the iMac Pro is really quiet ...
Just 10 dB for the new Mac Pro
It is something that may surprise all of us who are used to being in front of a computer for many hours a day and is that standing in front of a noisy machine can be "an ordeal" for a job that lasts long hours. In this case, the new Apple equipment, despite having internal hardware that will raise the temperature of any room, ventilation noise is practically non-existent.
In last Monday's keynote they showed us a screenshot like the one we have in the header in which you could see the number of air vents that this new Mac Pro has, this capture may lead us to think that the new Apple equipment will be noisy as it could be, but no. Doug Brooks himself, Apple's product manager, explained in a podcast that the power of the machine is not at odds with the silence of its dissipation and that in addition to the heatsinks of the internal components, the equipment itself is really silent, even more than the iMac Pro that reaches 12 dB. It will be time to see this new Mac Pro up close in the fall and see if it is true that it is so silent although we are sure of it.
