During the afternoon of yesterday the Cupertino company released the different beta versions of macOS Catalina, iOS13, iPadOS for users who want to install them on their computers. In this case, the version that interests us is macOS Catalina and Apple released it earlier than many of us expected and the forecasts were for early July.
MacOS Catalina public beta 1 arrives with all the news of this new version released for developers on June 3 at the WWDC keynote. Almost a week after releasing the beta versions for developers, the beta versions are released for all users who want to enter the beta tester program.
The public beta is now available
In this sense we have to say that the beta versions released are available completely free of charge for everyone so it is not necessary to have more than an Apple ID and enjoy the news that the new versions bring as well as the "small errors" of these versions. You can download it directly from the company website right here.
It is important to remember that these are beta versions so it is normal for them to contain bugs or errors, as well as some incompatibility with applications or tools. Obviously, having the public beta version available means that it works well on compatible devices, but it does not mean that it is perfect, so if you decide to install it, don't forget that it is a beta. In any case, the important thing is always to make a backup copy on our Mac and if it is possible to install this new version of macOS Catalina on an external partition or independent hard drive. Now it just remains enjoy what's new in macOS Catalina and the rest of the public betas.
