When we land in Mac from the "world of the window" everything changes, everything is more beautiful, intuitive and easy. But Mac OS X it is another operating system and as such, you need to get used to its simplicity. Smart Converter. It is a small free application that allows you to convert practically any video format into the format you need. It works perfectly. Ideal when you download your favorite series and you find that the USB reader on your TV does not read it.

Pages, Numbers and Kaynote are agile, simple and intuitive and, best of all, they are compatible with Microsoft formats in both ways, input and output, so that you can read and edit a word that has just been sent to you, or export a text file created in Pages in Word or PDF. Dropbox. Who does not know Dropbox? This app creates a folder on your Mac and everything you put in it will be available in all the existing versions of Dropbox for iPhone, iPad, Android or in its web version. CleanMyMac. The best "cleaner" I know. With just a couple of clicks you will be able to erase remnants of deleted applications that had been hidden out there from your Mac, completely uninstall and clean applications that you no longer use, locate files that take up a lot of space and that you no longer want, and a long etc. You will save space and keep your Mac as fast as a hare. Evernote. And lastly, Evernote. Capture everything you want in Evernote, create notebooks, share with your contacts ... Its powerful search engine allows text searches even in images and in handwritten texts. Its applications in daily life, in education, in business ... are endless, as are its multiple functionalities. I agree with some applications, such as: The Unarchiver, VLC, CleanMyMac (3), the "NTFS" (I have Paragon version 14) and even iWorks. I had some of the ones you put like the FreeSpace Tab (up to 3 days ago) that I changed to «CleanMyDrive» (from the creators of CleanMyMac and it's free too; we'll see if I keep it or put the FreeSpace Tab again: it was very happy with him); I ended up uninstalling Alfred and MemoryClean, the first because I don't use it and the other because with CleanMymac 3 I can free up memory too. SpotiFy stopped liking me and Dropbox along with Evernote having iCloud and OneDrive I have plenty.
Now I would add:
- VMWare Fusion or Parallels (I currently have both Fusion version 7 and Parallels version 12)
- Office 365
- YouTube to MP3 Converter by MediaHuman
- VLC Remote (the truth is that it is an app for the iPhone / iPad / iPod) to be able to manage the VLC of the iMAC from anywhere; in my case I have the TV on the bottom and the iMac on top, so when I'm watching a movie, imagine if I want to pause the viewing… I love this app. I put it here because you have to configure it in the iMAC (very easy).
- Translator: I have several, some no longer updated as Universal Translator and I have another one from VOX / SlovoEd (Spanish / English)
For all of us who have Macs and are always looking for new applications, this article can be of great help. For the Mac, I also bet on an application such as "PDF expert", which allows us to freely modify the pdfs, I had not found such an application until now. If you need to be able to change things in a pdf, this application is very easy to use and highly recommended.
