Take advantage of the reduced capacity of your iPad with these applications

Surely more than one of you has received as a gift at Christmas a fantastic iPad And I'm sure most of you have "only" 16GB of storage and maybe it's not enough for you. That is why today we bring you some applications with which you can enjoy movies, music, books, TV series, programs, etc. without worrying about capacity.

Stretch the 16GB of your iPad

Be it the new iPad Air 2iPad Air or one of the iPad Mini, the 16GB of storage with which the basic model starts seems, at first glance, insufficient. Indeed, this is the case if we think in "traditional mode" because currently cloud and streaming services as well as WiFi connectivity available in practically all homes, hotels, shops, restaurants, shopping centers and even transport, make up a wonderful solution. It is also true that in certain cases, depending on the professional use we give to our iPadYes, we will need more capacity due to the need to have files hosted locally but, let's face it, this is not the case for the vast majority. In fact, I have always had the 16GB model and I have never been short of space, and I use it daily.

With the applications that we are going to see you will be able to have all your documents at hand, watch movies and online series on demand, watch television, listen to all your music from iTunes or carry a single song stored on your iPad ... In short, you will get the most out of the 16 GB of your iPad.

For documents

There are dozens of applications to have all your documents at hand without the need to occupy the slightest space in your iPad. My advice is that you use only one, at the most, two, of them, the one that best suits your needs.

DropBox it's almost perfect and you can expand free cloud storage by prompting friends. It is also multi-device so you will always have everything at hand.

But if you work as a team, if you have a project with other people, Google Drive and your entire office suite is ideal. You will also have 25GB of cloud storage that, for documents, you already have more than enough, and its applications are much less heavy (they take up less space on your iPad) than those of Microsoft or Apple, their formats being perfectly compatible with the formats of the latter two.

To listen to all your music

When it comes to listening to music we have a wide range of options. The first thing that comes to mind are streaming music services and, in this case, we highlight Spotify for its wide musical variety and for its free option that allows you to play in random mode.

But if what you want is to listen to your own music, the one that you have been collecting for so long in your iTunes library but you do not want to occupy storage in your iPad, the perfect solution is:

This application, together with the installation of Music Manager on your Mac, it lets you automatically "upload" all the songs in your iTunes library to Google Play, up to a maximum of 20.000 songs. Every time you add a new song in iTunes it is uploaded to Google Play and you have it available on your iPad. In this way you can synchronize on your iPad only that essential music for when you do not have an internet connection and thus optimize the use you give to the total storage of your iPad.

To watch free movies

If what you want is watch movies on your iPad, there are applications with which you can do it however, experience tells me that nothing works better than SkyPlayer: copy the URL of the video you want to see on that "pirate portal", paste it, let it load for a few seconds and click Play. You can even cast it at your Apple TV and practically reproduces photos formats.

Watch TV?

And if you like to work or surf the internet while you watch your favorite TV shows and series, download the official apps from the channels themselves or from your pay TV service such as ONO or Orange TV.

Pictures

Nor do you need to have all your photos hosted on your iPad taking up space that you could dedicate to other things. Now with iCloud Photo Library You can have access to all your images from anywhere but this Apple service has a drawback: you will need more space in iCloud and you will have to go through the box monthly. My preferred option is Flickr that now, with a specific app for iPad, it presents a fabulous user interface, you can group your photos into folders and, most importantly, it gives you 1TB of free storage, being able to mark your photos as private so that only you can see them.

Now that you've saved a ton of space in your iPad you have room to install what you cannot enjoy otherwise, games. And even put in some movies just in case, some chapters of your favorite series, a playlist ... Who said 16GB was not enough?
