Many are the users who have asked me two specific questions, one of them is how to increase the loading speed of the applications in MacOS Sierra or in general in the previous OS X and the second is what to do in the system so that Internet browsing speeds up and there are times that even if we restart the router we have or have a high speed contracted, the Mac doesn't browse as fast as we'd like.
In this article we are going to focus on the second question, that is, teach our readers what they can do to make browsing the Internet faster.
What we are going to explain to you today you should put into practice when you see that a website you visit loads very slowly or that the Internet services you visit are not as smooth as they should. The problem you may have on your Mac is that you have to flush the DNS cache.
By resetting the DNS cache, what we achieve is to eliminate the repeated requests that your Mac may be sending to the DNS servers and therefore your web browsing is diminished. The operation of the Mac system in relation to the DNS is that it caches the same when we enter a certain website so that when we re-enter the load of it becomes faster.
However, there are times when the cache is saturated and we have to restart it and that is precisely what we are going to tell you here. To reset the DNS cache you must open Terminal and run the following command:
sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSReply
When you execute this command the system will force you to enter your administrator password and once the command is executed the system will start to create your DNS caching system again and surely the loading of the web pages will be much faster.
It does not work!
