How many times have you wondered how to know the exact shade of a certain color? Surely on many occasions you have wanted to know the exact tone that it has a color that you have seen on a certain web page or on the OS X system itself.
There are many utilities that you can find on the net that help you with the action, but today we want you to know that in OS X there is also a tool that is very simple to use and that comes standard in it.
We are talking about the tool ColorSync Utility and you can find it inside the Launchpad in the OTHERS folder. Upon entering the utility that we have discussed, a window opens with five sections among which you can see:
- Profiling first aid.
- Profiles
- Dispositives.
- Filters.
- Calculator.
In this article we are only going to tell you how to use color calculator that the OS X system has. By clicking on this section we enter a new window in which we have, in the lower part, a magnifying glass with which we will be able to place the cursor over the color in question that we want to know and thus being able to write down the exact data that will allow us to copy the color in any application in which we can enter that data.
As you can see, it is a very simple way to know the data of a certain color and thus be able to use it in your documents. Try to measure the color of some element of OS X itself and then use in applications like Photoshop or Keynote in a presentation.
