Since Apple released iOS 8 on all its devices we have seen news such as widgets in the notification center, being able to pick up calls directly on your Mac or continue visiting a website that we were previously consulting on our iPhone or iPad among many other new features.

Apart from all this there is another option within the iOS-OS X binomial, in which to share your purchases with your family members. This new feature allows you, for example, to make a purchase on your iPhone and share said purchase either from the App Store or iTunes Store with all the added members of your family but with certain restrictions that we can manage if we are the organizers.

In order to manage the family group in this case, we just have to go to System Preferences and locate the iCloud option so that once logged in with our Apple ID and password, we can access its administration as shown in the image above. On the next screen we will have already available the option to add each of the family members, where we will choose in this case who is the Parent / Guardian of the group and the payment method.

You can also choose whether or not you want share your purchases with others, your location and even an exclusive option for photos within the group. It must be taken into account that this new feature is designed by and for the family, that is, the form of payment once the invitation to join has been accepted will be the one recorded by the organizer "replacing" that of the owner of the device, so if you were thinking of using it with your friends or acquaintances, you already know that when they buy something (you will receive a request to accept or not) you will be the one to pay for it.
