This is a new RAW compatibility update for digital cameras and this time we reached version 6.02 in OS X Yosemite. Apple rushes the remainder of 2014 to launch what is supposed to be the latest digital camera compatibility update.
The new version released by Apple adds 7 digital camera models to the long list of compatible with this image format. After the jump we are going to leave this small list with the cameras that are made compatible with the format and that we can advance are models of Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic and Sony.
These are the new additions:
- Canon Powershot G7X
- Canon Powershot SX60HS
- Fujifilm X100T
- Nikon 1 J4
- Olympus PEN Lite E-PL7
- Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GMS
- Sony Alpha ILCE-5100
The new version adds to Aperture 3 and iPhoto '11 the compatibility with RAW images of these digital cameras, if you want to see the rest of compatible cameras you can access it directly from the website of Apple. Sometimes Apple adds this update along with the new version of iTunes or OS X Server, this time it seems that support for more cameras comes alone.
If it did not launch the update automatically, remember that you can access it directly from the menu. > Software Update or by accessing the Mac App Store directly. Surely the guys from Cupertino keep adding digital cameras to increase RAW support next year.
