New prices and storage for iCloud

Today is a day when you are surely catching up on everything presented by Apple yesterday and we had a Keynote that despite being the opening Keynote of a WWDC, it was a keynote in which quite a few novelties were presented not only in software but also in hardware.

As almost always happens, Apple reports certain things in the Keynote, but not everything, and if that were the case, the keynotes would be very extensive. Proof of this is that today we have been able to verify that the storage plans in iCloud have changed their storage tranches and their prices.

Apple has gone one step further as far as its iCloud cloud is concerned and has modified one of the storage plans. As you may already know, Apple has long had the 50GB, 200GB and 1TB plans active. In my case, I've been with the 50 GB plan for a while now at a price of 0,99 euros.

The fact is that Apple has wanted to improve a little the conditions of its service for its high part. When we say by its upper part we mean that the change is focused on the highest storage plan, the 1TB that now happens to have exactly double, 2TB at a price of 9,99 euros per month.

As for the other two plans, we can only tell you that they are maintained so if you already had the 50GB or 200GB plan you will continue to have the same without changes. We certainly see that Apple wants to encourage users to use the cloud and have absolutely all your information in it and proof of it are the nothing more and nothing less than 2TB that it offers us.

The new prices in the storage plans are as follows:

  • 50GB: 0,99 euros
  • 200GB: 2,99 euros
  • 2TB: 9,99 euros

We already know that other companies such as Google have better conditions than Apple but it continues to say that when we buy both an Apple device and when we subscribe to one of its services, we do not have to look at the device or service in isolation and that is Apple has long been saying that what they want to sell us is a user experience.

To end this article we must tell you about a new feature that will appear in the following operating systems and is that in iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra, Apple will offer an option to share the plan 200GB or 2TB iCloud storage with family members being able to pay for a single plan and enjoy it for multiple Apple IDs.
