Manage the SHIFT key

CAPSEE. CAPITAL LETTERS

At some point along our journey with computer equipment, we will have come across PC's that had the characteristic of having a keyboard in which it was possible to clearly see whether or not capital letters were activated or at least that if they were not, it would come out an indicator on the screen each time we press it.

Now, you've made the leap to Mac and as you may have seen on all keyboards, there is a green LED on the shift key that lights up when capital letters are activated.

Even so, there are people who continually realize that after writing several words they have written all of them in capital letters. This is due in most cases to the fact that those who are typing need to look at the keys they press because they have not taken any typing course. Within OSX there is no native possibility that there is a warning on the screen each time we press the shift key.

What we can do is completely disable capitalization if our need requires it. For this we will Launchpad / System Preferences / Keyboard and click on Modifier keys, which is where we modify this behavior, so that in order for capital letters to be activated, it is necessary to press another key at the same time so that the mistakes mentioned above do not exist.

If what you really want is that a warning appears on the screen every time you activate or deactivate capital letters, we will have to install a small free utility called CapSee. This small utility will show us on the screen an indicator of whether or not the shift key is activated. For troubled typists, CapSee is the solution.

Thanks, that's what I needed, as the Razer BlackWidow Chroma keyboard does not have a Caps Indicator.
