How to manage iCloud tabs in Safari

Many have been the times that we have talked in this blog about the browser that Apple implements as standard both in the Mac system and in mobile devices with iOS. This browser has a multitude of options that can be configured from Safari> Preferences, but there are other things we can do from the toolbar itself.

With the arrival of iCloud Apple implemented that both the Safari browser on iOS devices and the Safari browser on Macs were synchronized thus having a exact copy of all the tabs that you are going to open on devices such as the iPhone or iPad on the Mac and vice versa.

What we want to teach you today with this article is how to know the tabs you have open on your other devices, different from the Mac, and how to manage those tabs, being able to delete them from the macOS Safari if necessary.

When we open a Safari window we see that in the upper central part we have the address box and that on both sides of it we see a few buttons such as Share, Show all tabs, Show sidebar and Show previous and back page . There are five buttons that a priori no one changes places in addition to "nobody knows" how to add more.

We put quotation marks around "no one knows" because it is not an action that is done regularly and that users are used to doing and therefore we want emphasize it today by talking about managing iCloud tabs.

A multitude of buttons that Apple itself has created for it can be added to the top bar of the Safari browser. To configure those that appear and those that do not, we must right click on the top bar and we will see that the phrase »Customize toolbar»We can also access them from the menu View> Customize Toolbar.

Well, if what you want is to manage the iCloud tabs we must add the icon with the iCloud cloud to the bar. When we press this icon, you will see that a list opens with the active tabs on your mobile devices, being able to close the ones you deem appropriate from the Mac without taking the other device in hand.
