To install Mountain Lion on your Mac you have several options. The fastest consists of download the operating system from the Mac App Store and proceed with its installation.
Alternatively install from scratch. To do this you will need your copy of Mountain Lion to be on an executable DVD or USB drive, something that you can do quickly and easily with the LionDiskMaker utility.
To do this, lor what you need is:
- The latest version of LionDiskMaker (it's free)
- A blank DVD or
- A USB stick or SD card with at least 8GB of free space.
If you meet these requirements, download Mountain Lion from the Mac App Store and run LionDiskMaker. The application will find the installer, extract the image and then make the DVD or executable drive with the operating system.
