The steps you must follow are the following:

  • Access the System Preferences panel that we can find in Lauchpad. Once inside, we select the Network category.
  • In the window that appears, you will be able to configure multiple parameters regarding the network connections that your Mac is capable of supporting.

Create a network type

  • To add a new VPN connection we go to the left column and in the lower part we click on the +. We are shown a small window in which, in the drop-down, we are going to select VPN.
  • When select VPN, the system will ask you what type of VPN network you want to create. At this point, you will need to know what type of network your workplace has.

The next step is to configure the VPN network that you have created. To do this, you will have to fill in the data that your work center has provided you, such as the server address, the account and the authentication mechanism that the server has. When you finish entering the data, you only have to click on Connect.
