Nowadays, any average user worth his salt has to have a large number of passwords, which of course have to be more and more secure. For this they must contain numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters as very little to make them secure enough.
Little by little, the task of having to remember those passwords and even more so enter them every time we need them, applications that remind us of them become necessary. For this, Apple made the «iCloud Keychain» available to users, making use of its iCloud cloud.
However, there are users who do not want to use Apple's cloud and for this we bring you an alternative to be able to save passwords on the Mac, the LastPass application.
On mobile devices, the application par excellence for password management is 1Password, although you can also use LastPass for iOS. Now, time later, Its developers have decided to release a version for Mac, which is what we want to show you today.
LastPass will allow you to have your passwords stored correctly and safely so that you can use them at any time. We tell you "safe" because your passwords will be saved making use of AES 256 bit encryption.
In addition, it is an application that does not use any extensions in Safari, making the whole process much easier and faster. In short, a very powerful application that can replace the solution given by Apple, in case it does not convince you.
This application is free and you can download it from the Mac App Store. It should be noted that you can make use of a PREMIUM option at a price of twelve dollars a year.
Hello,
I have had a Mac for 7 days and I see how Safari offers to generate a password with symbols, numbers and upper and lower case.
So I'm wondering what LastPass would do for me (what I've been using for about 1 year); that the only clear difference that I see is that it organizes my passwords into categories.
Thanks for the feedback.
