The Macs are increasingly designed for everyone, but in the beginning they were designed for technical and scientific aspects. Findings is one of these applications used by these professions. The application is designed to help scientists maintain an electronic laboratory notebook. Just because scientists use state-of-the-art technology does not mean that they should take notes on paper or electronically. Findings 2 helps you if you want to take notes in electronic format, with an application adapted to your needs.
With Findings 2 scientists can put aside the pad of paper or post-its, especially when they are carrying out a patent or relevant research.
Findings was released in 2014 and has since evolved. Today it has a complete application for Mac and a mobile version that supports when we require portability in smaller spaces, such as a scientist's table with all its instruments. Nevertheless, the macOS version is more complete than the iOS version, at least in the number of functions, more if possible with the latest updates.
Version 2.0 has more content, so that we have all the accessory information within the application. Therefore, we can consult the periodic table of elements, some anti-desiccants and tools like a mixing calculator.
Another thing that we highlight about the application is the possibility of implementing the content. It has a part that the user can modify and complement according to their needs. Versatility comes to the addiction of resources, as these can be images, PDF, HTML or Javiscript. The Findings 2 workflow is to make a record book of all the changes made in our study.
Findings 2 can be Download on the official page. The download is free and offers 20 projects to assess the experience. If we like the application, we can buy it for € 39, although until February 9 if the price is reduced to € 27,30. If you are a student and you can accredit it, you will have a 40% discount. On the other hand, if you want to upgrade from Findings 1, its price is € 19,50. The application is in English. The requirements are OS X El Capitan or higher.
