John Giannandrea is Apple's New Head of Siri, Core ML and Machine Learning

Apple is a company that is continually hiring, especially for the positions of greater responsibility. A few months ago we echoed a news item in which we pointed to the signing of John Giannandrea, one of the most responsible for Google's artificial intelligent and machine learning system in recent years.

But until now, we did not know what his role in the company would be, a question that has already been revealed. As we can see on the Apple website, where the heads of Apple departments are shown, John Giannandrea He already has a role at Apple: responsible for Siri, Core ML and machine learning.

With the addition of John, Siri is no longer under Craig's responsibility, who had taken charge of Apple's personal assistant during the last year, but it seems that he has not managed to make it evolve as expected and the best option has been to pass this responsibility to one of the latest Apple signings who has plenty of experience in learning automatic, one of the tasks that Siri has always had to improve in order to become an assistant to use as all Apple users want.

Despite having taken over Siri, a task previously entrusted to Craig Federighi, John will report directly to Tim Cook, as well as the heads of the main departments of the Cupertino-based company. At the moment, and as usual, neither John nor the company itself have made any official statement in this regard, so we do not know what Apple's intentions are regarding Siri, but as we could see at WWDC 2018, held At the beginning of last June, everything seems to indicate that artificial intelligence will be a fundamental pillar for Siri.
