The answer is yes. Although it may sound repetitive ...
This morning while I was doing some cleaning tasks on my Mac (deleting apps, documents and files that I don't use manually), which I advise all users to do from time to time, I jumped an error and it seemed strange to me. Safari closed unexpectedly and when I reopened the browser I performed the key combination Alt + cmd + esc to see that it was open in addition to the browser and force the applications to exit. To my surprise I came across a bug that said: Safari does not respond in red and in parentheses, here I started to think wrong.
Sometimes the Mac can work well and we do not realize that we have a problem on the disk with an installed application or similar, this leads to small failures that it is better to catch on time in one of these cleanings that can be done once a month, for example. What I did immediately after reading that was head to the Disk utility and there the problem appeared.
The catch is from the net
The disk did not allow to be repaired due to a problem and it sent me to repair the disk directly from Disk Utility but at startup, that is, turning off the Mac and pressing cmd + R at boot until the apple logo appears. One time performed this task at startup what I did was give to restart the Mac. Once rebooted I was able to repair the disk again and it already allowed me to check the disk permissions and repair the disk from the Mac as always confirming that the HD disk it worked correctly (in green color).
By this I mean that sometimes We don't realize that we have a problem on the Mac for lack of performing these basic tasks from time to time or because we always use applications to clean it and from time to time it is good to do it manually with the disk verification included. In my case the problem was not from Safari but from a third-party application that for some reason it caused an error in Safari and on the disk. So the best thing we can do to "keep the Mac very healthy" is to take care of what we install and once a month clean things that we do not use or transfer them to an external disk, in addition to performing a verification and repair of permissions of the main album to make sure we don't have problems in the future.
How do I clean the iMac?
I spend some time manually deleting what I don't use and then you can always use an application (of the many we've seen on the blog) to finish the job. at the end of all a verification and repair of the disk and that's it.
Greetings Fernando for it!
I have the same problem you described. But when I do the reboot and pressed the corresponding keys, what comes out is a padlock logo and a bar to write I imagine the password. Which I do not have, because I enter the administrator user and nothing happens. I hope you can help me.
