Before starting, the pre-task is to make sure you have the following:

• An external hard drive for backing up with time Machine
• A USB stick or memory card of at least 8GB capacity

The first step: get your Mac ready

1. Download the App DiskMakerX since web page.
2. Connect a USB or SD card of at least 8GB to your Mac
3. Just follow the steps shown and have a little patience, it may take time.

Once the process is finished you will have your OS X Yosemite bootable USB ready. Now go to the Applications folder and remove the Yosemite installer from your Mac.

Make a backup with Time Machine

Well, to make a fresh installation of OS X Yosemite We are going to erase all the content of our Mac, Make a backup with Time Machine that, later, we will dump again once Yosemite is installed.

In the Menu Bar we select Utilities → Disk utility. We will then proceed to erase all the content of the current hard drive from our Mac To do this, we select the partition to delete and click on "delete" within the Delete tab.

Once all the content of the hard disk of our Mac We only need to install the system and for this we exit Disk Utility and simply follow the steps indicated by the Installer itself. OS X Yosemite.

When requested, we will dump the backup copy of TimeMachine. To do this, we will only have to connect the hard disk that we use for our backup copies and select the copy to dump at the moment in which, during the installation process, we are asked.
