One of the most outstanding features of OS X is perhaps its style when it comes to presenting the aesthetics of the system, that is, a very clear interface with well worked icons and representative of the task they perform. This is perhaps one of the points in which OS X stands out the most above other operating systems, that is, they have managed to simplify and give more color to the entire environment without losing that touch of distinction that separates them from the rest.
Often times, whether you are a reputable web designer or just a humble blogger, images of icons from different applications are used as images that can be integrated into a composition to give life to the header of an entry as to create any other type of image. In this situation, OS X makes this task of copying the application icons and in turn exporting it very simple.
The first thing will be to search the application from which we want to export the iconOnce located, just have the CMD key pressed and clicking on that application, it will open its location in the Finder.
The second step would be to do right click on the icon from the application and click on »Get information» although you can also use the shortcut CMD + I on the keyboard.
The third step would be to click on the application icon in the upper left corner of the information window and click on Edit -> Copy in the top menu. You can also use the shortcut CMD + C to copy the image.

The fourth step would be Open »Preview» go to the top menu in File -> New from Clipboard or CMD + N.
In the last step you can see in the »Preview» the icon in many extracted image sizes being able to click on any of them and choose the one that best suits our needs for later in File -> Save, to be able to save it wherever we want.
