How to display on screen the operations we have performed with the calculator

If you are a few years old, surely you have seen or used those old calculators that recorded all the operations that were done on a roll of paper, to later attach them to the documents in question or check them later by hand. In the Mac App Store we have at our disposal a series of calculators that they show us the history of operations as we perform them.

But it is not necessary to spend the money resorting to a third-party application, since from the Calculator application itself, which Apple includes natively in our copy of macOS, we can access the history of operations, allowing us even print it if we have the need to attach it to a series of documents or to check manually.

Thanks to this function, we can quickly check all the operations that we have carried out in a simple way, without having to repeat them again if we see that something does not fit us. To be able to access the history of operations, first of all we must have the calculator open, of course, and then click on the top menu Window and select Show Ribbon.

At that moment, a window will be displayed with the operations that we have carried out or those that we will carry out as we do them. Once we have finished performing the operations, we can zero tape / window by clicking on the Delete button, located in the lower right corner of the screen.

If the number of operations is very high, and we want to print it to see it more calmly, we must click on the upper menu File and then on Print ribbon in the format and paper size that we want, from the Print Settings.

We also have the option of save the file in plain text, without format, in case we have the need to share it with other people through email.
