If you log into the account before the 30-day period ends, it will automatically reactivate the account and you will have to start the deactivation process again.
Quick Security: Hide your feed by making yourself private
To remove your posts from prying eyes without deactivating the account at all, you can make your account private. However, you can still deactivate the account at any time after hiding your feed.
Of course, anything captured by a screenshot and posted online will still exist. X has no control over what people post on other websites.
When you make your account private, The only people who can read your posts are your followers. No one else can access your information, even if you use Google or another third-party search engine. - Select first More in the menu within the app.
- Now select Settings and Privacy.
- Choose your account.
- Choose Account information and enter your password.
- Now select Protected tweets.
- Check the box next to Protect my Tweets so that it remains private.
To prevent a specific person from seeing your profile, you can block them. However, they will still be able to see your posts if they log out of the platform.
Differences between deactivate and delete
It is important to distinguish between a deactivated account and a deleted account. In many ways, they are the same: all references to the account will be gone within the first few days of deactivation. Other users will not be able to follow the account or search for the account, including searches for historical posts made by the account.
You and anyone else will also be prohibited from using the username of the deactivated account. or register for a new account using the email address of the deactivated account.

Some things to keep in mind
Twitter retains your information for 30 days before permanently deleting it. To restore your account, sign in again and confirm that you want to reactivate your account.
If you plan to create a new X account with the same username and email address as the account you are deactivating, change the current account to a different username and email address before deactivating it.
If you want to download your Twitter data, do so before deactivating it. Twitter cannot send data from inactive accounts.

Returning to Twitter after deleting your account
