Yesterday, reviewing the news from CES 2015, one of the most important consumer technology fairs of the year (if not the most), on different websites, publications and videos, I came across the new creation of the Henge company, a spectacular dock for accommodate your MacBook Pro Retina. Already in the past they launched another dock so you can place your MacBook Pro vertically On top of your desk, now they surprise us with a dock of exquisite design and "premium" materials such as the zinc alloy of which it is composed and that in this way fits perfectly with the aesthetics of Apple's MacBook.

The main novelty that this dock presents is not in its design but in the way it connects to the laptop. The brand has installed small electric motors that achieve that the connections are hidden and appear automatically when leaving our MacBook Pro Retina, a true detail that speaks for itself of the care that they have put into the final design of the product. Without further ado I leave you a video below in which its operation is perfectly shown.

Currently it can only be reserved now for the 15-inch MacBook Pro Retina but it has already been confirmed that it also will be available for the 13-inch model and the MacBook Air in the future. The connections that it integrates are made up of two TRS audio ports, an SD card reader, HDMI output, six USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet and two Thunderbolt 2 ports. Besides all this, it is the first accessory created by third parties that manages to supply power to the MacBook Pro, in this way we will not have to worry about having the charger continuously connected to the MacBook so we can disconnect it and connect it to the dock to recharge.

The price at which it is available this amazing dock is $ 399, a price that is justified in part by the number of connections, the electric motors and its unique design, but depending on the use we make of it, it may not be the dock with the best quality / price ratio.
