Surely you have ever been infatuated with an image that you have seen on a website and you have realized that you cannot drag and drop it on the desktop to save it. Other times, you can do this but the resulting file has a low resolution and better to have nothing than an image with that quality.
There are many ways to obtain these images, but a very simple way is by using the Safari browser itself, previously activating the Development menu of the same. The Safari browser has many functions hidden from the basic user and that are reserved for developers.
One of those functions is the menu Development from the same from which you can make arrangements such as opening a certain website with different versions of Safari as well as with different browsers from which we can select Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome. It is not a question of opening those browsers but rather that Safari emulates their operation.
That is just one of the many options that the Safari Development menu allows us to do. However, the trick that we want to show you today is the way to see the resources of a certain website and thus be able to see and save each and every one of the images that have been used in it.
To activate the Safari Development menu we must go to Safari> Preferences> Advanced. In the final part of the window that appears we will see a selector that says «Show the Development menu in the menu bar». We press to activate it and we have everything ready for the next step.
Now we see that in the top bar of the Safari menu the Development drop-down appears in which we must choose the item «Show page resources». A lower window opens automatically in which we can see a directory of folders on the left side. We look for the images folder and by clicking on each of them we will see how they appear on the right side.
When we get to the image we want to download, it will be enough with right click and in the menu download the image. If it doesn't let us download it, we open it in a new window and then drag it to the desktop.
