Focus your attention on OS X with the HazeOver app

If there is something that characterizes the Apple computer system, it is the ease with which it is handled and how powerful it is. We have many functions that in other systems are starting to be implemented now but we have to say that they are still light years away from what a system like Apple's allows. 

Even more so when hundreds of developers create applications that blend seamlessly with the system and add improvements that make it easier for us to work. This is the case of the HazeOver app, an application that allows us to control the brightness of everything that is in the background in the OS X desktop. 

There have been many times when you have wondered if you cannot dim windows that are not in use in OS X and leave the window active with normal brightness. Thus our attention is focused on the window that is active and the rest of the screen is dimmed.

Well, that is the function that its developer has implemented in HazeOver. This application is very simple and you can download it from the Mac AppStore at a price of 3,99 euros. We have been able to try it and we assure you that it is worth it. The bigger the screen, the more we use it since the area that is free outside the main window is bigger.

Once opened, we are shown a circular dial that we will have to adjust depending on the level of attenuation that we want it to do of what is not the currently active window on the desktop. As we go from window to window, the ones in the background become dark. 

So that the application does not disturb the Dock, it adds an icon to the top menu bar where we can also adjust the darkness of what is not active by sliding. We can also tell the system to run it from the Mac startup.
