Today it is impossible to imagine life without satellite navigation. Applications range from navigation in road traffic, through so-called Location Based Services, such as mobile Apps for recording sports activities, to extremely precise location in air traffic or agriculture. After the first successful tests of Galileo signals by the European Space Agency ESA in spring 2013, a new impetus is to be expected for the commercial use of satellite navigation. The first Galileo services ( the so-called "Galileo early services") are expected to start before the end of the year. These initial services include, together with an open service (Open Service, OS) with free access to navigation, positioning and time measurement, particularly precise services and stable in search and rescue (SAR) and state agencies (Public Regulated Serv ice, PRS).
