To date we have many services in the cloud, many of them are cross-platform. Finding a complete service that allows us to store files, work with text editors, spreadsheets and programs to prepare presentations, we can know several. But that at the same time allows us to store our photographs, group them by albums and share them by mail via Mail Drop or Facebook, there are very few. Instead, the iCloud Photo Library is available from today in a new version.
Well from today we can do all this in the iCloud photo library available on the website of iCloud. Well, the version in beta phase and available for some users has become official.
We learned about these changes in the beta version of the iCloud service: beta.icloud.com. The novelty is its new interface, very similar as it could not be otherwise to the photo version of MacOS Sierra. In this way it is very easy to move around it. It is ideal if you want to show the photographs taken for an event on the computer of a friend or collaborator or directly view the photographs we have on our iPhone in a larger size.
The features that this version incorporates are:
- To be able to consult the photographs by Álbumes (the same as the Sierra or iOS version) or by the organization Moments. We will access them through the sidebar.
- Resize view photos, with the bar to enlarge or reduce.
- Being able to access a photo to see it larger and go back to the album.
- Upload or download photos to this computer.
- Share on Facebook or by mail (we hope more services in the future).
- Add photos to an album.
- Delete Photographs.
- Share and add to an album, only the photos of a specific day or share only the photos of a specific album.
But after using it, what else I am struck by the speed of the interface, which does not clash with the Photos application of MacOS Sierra, since its navigation through it is very agile and fine. Even video downloading and viewing is flawless. Perhaps the quality is not the maximum available for video or photography, but we do not miss lack of quality. Further, PIP function is available in video playback.
With this addition, Apple has taken a giant step in managing photos in its cloud. Of course, to get its full potential, you must surely have hired an iCloud plan somewhat higher than the initial one.
