We arrived on vacation and one of the first things my colleagues have asked me is how to recover deleted files from the iCloud cloud. My first response to scare them is to tell them that it is impossible to recover them once they have been eliminated for later and after seeing their faces laugh out loud.
When we delete some files from the Mac in iCloud DriveIf we have all this process configured, the system asks us if we want to eliminate it through an on-screen window and later, when accepting it, it goes to a hidden "area" of iCloud Drive, waiting for 30 days to pass to be removed from the everything.
When you delete a file from the iCloud Drive location on your Mac, the system shows you an automatic notification that informs you that it will be removed from all devices if you continue with the process. By clicking on accept the file it becomes invisible to the system and if we do nothing in the next thirty days to recover it, there would be no chance.
If we want to recover a deleted file from iCloud Drive we have to go to www.icloud.com and in the settings area we enter Restore files.
However, this is not what we want to teach you, what we want you to know is that if you do not want the system to bother you with a notification every time you delete a file from the iCloud Drive location, what you have to do is deactivate it in Finder preferences in the Advanced tab.
As you can see, this Finder tab has evolved as Apple creates new tools in its ecosystem.
