Have you noticed that every time you receive a message on your iPhone, the notification alert sounds twice? The first, right at the moment you receive the message; the second, two minutes later. This function is great, especially if it was a message of some importance and for whatever reason, you would not have noticed that it is there waiting to be read and responded to. But if you don't feel like receiving this alert in duplicate, you can deactivate the function. You can even configure it to notify you up to 10 times in two-minute intervals, something ideal for the most clueless 😉. Let's see how to turn off repeated message notifications.
- Open the Settings app.
- Click on Notifications.
- Select Messages.
- Navigate to the bottom of the screen and click on "Repeat alerts"
- Now click on "Never" so that the alerts for messages received are never repeated.
- Or select how many times you want them to repeat.
READY! From now on, you will only receive the alert per message received only once, just when it reaches your iPhone or iPad. Or it will be repeated as many times as you want in a two minute interval and up to a maximum of ten times.
