Curious memory test. Crucial Scanner

Looking for some information about the memory of our Macs I have come across this curious tool that provides exhaustive information about the memory we have in our machine including the arrangement of the modules in their slots, how much each module is, what model it is, and the possible extensions to which we can choose.
As it is a company that deals with memory, it also offers us at very good prices, the memory kits that we can install and offers you the purchase of the modules and kits possible to make your extensions and of course ostensibly cheaper than Apple's own. despite the shipping costs.

The tool is called CrucialScanner, highly recommended.

I recently acquired 2 GB RAM in Crucial and apart from the fact that their page is very good and it scans your computer to check availability / options, in any forum you will read that the crucial memories are highly recommended for Mac.

hello I have a macbook with 1 Gb in ram my question is can I install it in another memory of 2 Gb and thus have a total 3 Gb in ram? or forcibly it has to be 1 Gb or even replace the original with another 2 Gb and thus have a total of 4 Gb in ram
