Time inexorably passes for everyone in the same way and we are getting older, that is what Google must have thought when confirming on your blog that the next versions of Google Chrome that will arrive will not support old versions of OS X, specifically we are talking about OS X versions 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8 in addition to announcing that they will leave out Windows Vista and Windows XP.
Actually this was already seen to come due to the longevity of some systems and now it is confirmed, alluding to the lack of security updates in Windows XP due to abandonment by Microsoft just like Windows Vista. In Google's own words: «They are operating systems that can no longer offer the necessary security for the web browser to keep malware out of the system. This means that operating systems older than run Chrome browsers they will remain fully operational, although they will not show updates for new versions and features. "
In any case, it does not mean that from today until tomorrow Google will stop supporting its browser in these systems, but rather that they point to April 2016 as the deadline for users who want to continue enjoying the latest security features and news that they present in the subsequent updates must upload from system version to a more updated one.
Personally, I still use Safari to navigate in OS X, it offers me practically all the features I need and in its latest versions it works quite well. On the other hand, Chrome is no longer the minimalist browser that it was at first and Google, in an attempt to improve it with more and more features, is "overloading" it, stripping him of that lightness which it displayed in its beginnings and which made it the first choice of many users.
