Apple updates Safari to version 8.0.2

After releasing the Safari update on December 4 and remove it a few minutes later Without offering users an apparent reason, it now appears that the guys from Cupertino have released the version without the problem. This is the version of Safari for Mac 8.0.2 and in addition to skipping a number adds various bug fixes and improvements.

Some users who installed version 8.0.1 have not had problems or failures caused by this installation, but in some cases users have experienced unexpected closings of the Apple browser and the inability to access it. In this new version the solution for this problem.

These are the improvements added in the new version 8.0.2:

  • Fixed an issue that prevented history syncing between devices if iCloud Drive was not turned on.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented autofilling of a saved password after adding two devices to iCloud Keychain
  • Improved performance of WebGL graphics on retina displays
  • Ability to import username and passwords from Firefox
  • Fixes an issue that rarely resulted in some users being unable to access Safari after installing the 8.0.1 update

At first this seems like a stable version and let's hope that Apple won't remove it in a few hours. For now I can say that my Mac works fine. To download this version we can access it from the menu of the apple> Software Update or directly from the Mac App Store.

Well, I got the update and I gave it an update, but it keeps appearing that there is an update, if I verify the safari version that is on my MAC it tells me that it is 8.0, even though in updates it appears that it was installed 3 times it keeps getting me to update again

Good juan José, I did update well the first time, to see if someone else is like your worst, this version does not seem to have a problem.

    You already tell us

Jordi, I have tried again to update Safari, it does the whole download and installation process and again it tells me that there is an update, crashing the installed version of Safari continues to indicate that it is 8.0, something strange is happening, anyway

There is no problem in the update, however the video call through Facebook that I used to make is no longer available and a message appears about a compatibility problem "the computer to which you are communicating has the incompatible browser resource" that if they call me and if I call "resource is not available"

I had Safari 8.0 which was going perfectly. I just upgraded to 8.0.2 and screwed up. Now Safari opens and directly crashes and I have to close it "by force". What a botch of updates Apple is marked lately. For now using Firefox until these "geniuses" solve it.

I answer myself. Fixed by deep cleaning the cache, using the "Yosemite cache cleaner" tool and restarting. Now everything works as it should.

    Hello friends.
I have a question, on December 16, I updated Safari on my MacBook to version 8.0.2, however, once updated it appears again, I update it again and it appears again as if it had not been done, as if it had not I was installing it and I would like to know what I can do.
I would be very grateful if you could give me some advice to repair that fault. Thank you.

Hi, try a permission repair and cache cleanup to see if the issue is resolved. Look in the safari preferences menu which version you have and see if you solve it.
