As Apple publicly communicated throughout last week, as of today a cleaning cycle in the App Store, eliminating all those applications that have been abandoned by their developers or those that are problematic for the end user (having, above all, a failure at the time of startup).
This new policy begins today, Monday, September 5, but will take official effect from Wednesday 7, day that coincides with the presentation event of the iPhone 7 in the mythical Bill Graham auditorium, in San Francisco, California.
For some time now, the developers affected by this new policy of the Cupertino-based company, have been notified with sufficient margin to solve your problems of inactivity or failures in the start of the application, so as not to be damaged by such action.
Therefore, this cleaning will be done gradually, since the developers notified of those affected applications will have up to 30 days to update and / or correct the error that their application suffers from the moment they have received said notice.
Once the term given by the Californian company has expired, the app will be removed considered "harmful" in all the brand's digital markets (App Store, Mac App Store, ...)
Among other novelties, in addition, Apple intends to limit the name of the applications to about 50 characters, thus eliminating extremely long names and abolishing bad practices among brand developers.
Apple recommends that developers consult Apple documentation about the process of creating names for Apps, as well as the search for keywords, icons, screenshots of the same and description of use. The use of these good practices is essential to have a good position and recognition in the apple market.
