Well, it's time for the official launch of the final version for OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion. A few minutes ago we already have this final version available to download from the Mac App Store after a few betas that seemed to have no end and that today, we can already say that we have available.

In this new version, (independent) updates are added for RAW 4.09 compatibility, but the important one is undoubtedly that of OS X. In the previous beta released for developers on September 5 called 12F36, we almost got the date of launch for this final version ... let's talk about the 10th and in the end it was September 12th.

Well let's get rid of the guesswork and see the improvements that are added in the update. At first if we look at the latest beta released for developers, are exactly the same:

  • Fixes an issue that prevented display in Mail.
  • Improves AFP file transfer over 802.11ac WiFi network.
  • Fixes an issue that prevented the automatic activation of the screensaver.
  • Better to Xsan reliability.

As always in this type of updates for OS X, we can access it from the menu menú> Software Update, also from the Mac App Store itself> Updates or even from the Apple official page where we will find this version for download.

The new version of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 improves the stability, compatibility and security of our Mac, so its installation is recommended.
