Apple continues to close Apple Stores due to coronavirus outbreaks

apple store coronavirus

A couple of days after the coronavirus was officially declared a pandemic by the WHO, Apple closed each and every Apple Store that was still open outside of China, to prevent its stores from contributing to the spread of COVID-19. It wasn't until late May, early June, that Apple stores reopened.

However, the outbreaks of the coronavirus that have been detected both in Australia as in the United States, they are forcing the Cupertino-based company to re-close stores they would have started to return to the new normal. Until yesterday the number of stores that closed in the United States was 80.

Today we wake up with the news of closure of 11 new Apple Stores, making a total of 91 the number of Apple Stores that are closed only in the United States and to which we have to add the 5 that were closed this week in Australia for the same reason. The 11 new stores that Apple has closed are located in California, Maryland, Ohio and Tennessee.

At the moment it seems that the safety and hygiene measures that Apple has taken in its stores, they're keeping the coronavirus at bay. However, the same is not happening in some cities, where the coronavirus is once again rampant, forcing states to declare, once again, temporary closures of non-essential activities and businesses.

At the moment it seems that the prevention measures that users are taking in many countries, they are being quite effective and the outbreaks that are being detected, both in neighborhoods and in cities, are being rapidly controlled by the health authorities, completely isolating these areas from their surroundings, including the people who reside.
