When we acquire a computer from the bitten apple, come on, what has been a Mac, most users find themselves with an operating system, macOS Sierra at present, which practically has everything that is needed to start using it, although in some cases they are applications for use at a very "user" level. One of these applications is Mail.
Mail is the email manager for macOS. It is a very powerful and compatible application, as far as I know, with the vast majority of email providers. However, despite the changes it has undergone over the years, many users require more functions in their day to day or simply want something new or a design that is more beautiful. Fortunately, there is currently a wide catalog of clients or email managers for macOS where to choose. Today I will show you some of the most outstanding ones.
Your email does not end in Mail
Since I got my first Mac, and not so long ago, but now approaching a decade, I have used Mail as my primary and only email manager. At a functional level, it has everything I need; I can add email accounts from Outlook, Gmail and other providers including, of course, iCloud, create smart mailboxes, quickly add new contacts to my address book, add attachments to send, and much more. However, already I was needing something more, something different, with a design that was more attractive to me, so I will jump to the first of the options that I will show you below but, at the same time, I have also explored and still consider other alternative mail managers to Mail for macOS. We see?
Spark
From the hand of Readdle, developers of the prestigious app for macOS and iOS PDF Expert, came Spark, an email manager or client that is presented with a most captivating message: "Love your email again." electronic again »).
Spark defines itself as a "beautiful and intelligent email application" whose main objective is that users can always keep our inbox clean, allowing you to quickly see what is important and "clean up the rest." And do you know what is the best of all? That the objective that it promises, it fulfills.
Although what most caught my attention was its design, its smart inbox it is the most prominent feature as it places what is really important at the top.
Smart Inbox allows you to quickly see what is important in your inbox and clean up the rest. All new emails are intelligently classified into Personal, Notifications and Newsletters.
Among the latests Moravia's compositions main features / benefits of Spark for macOS The following stand out, in addition to its design and smart mailbox:
- It allows "to find any email in an instant".

Spark is a free application that you can download from the Mac App Store on your Mac, and it also has its corresponding version for iPhone and iPad.
Airmail
Airmail It is another of the best known and popular alternatives. Of course, it is compatible with any email account and it also offers a nice design that we can simplify to the point of confusing it with Twitter. It is optimized for macOS Sierra and its price is € 9,99.
Newton
Newton It is another of the most prestigious email clients however, requires a subscription whose amount is € 49,99 per year, so it may only be worth it for those who want and need much more. It offers a free trial period for 14 days so you can download the app for free and test if this is the alternative to Mail you need or not.
These are just three alternatives to Mail for macOS Sierra. Of course, in the Mac App Store, and outside of it, you can find many others such as Nylas, Postbox, Polimail or, why not !, Outlook. My favorite, even without having tried them all as it would be almost impossible, is Spark; I love its design, it works great and it has made me able to handle all my emails quickly and efficiently, so that's what I need. What is your favorite email client? Do you still prefer Mail?
How do I put Spark in Spanish? Thanks
