And not only is it appreciated how fluid it works, but on top of that the developer runs Geekbench 5 and shows us the test. Scores almost twice as much as a Surface ProX from Microsoft. What a bravado.
Some days ago I posted a story explaining that a developer had managed to virtualize Windows 10 ARM64 on a Mac mini Apple silicon, and that the performance of this set was much higher than that of a Microsoft Surface X Pro, with its own QualComm processor.
Explained that alexander graf I had successfully run a Windows ARM virtualization on a Mac mini with the new Apple M1 processor. It used the open source QEMU emulator and a Windows 10 preview.
Now, based on Graf's work, there is already a new build of the open source ACVM launcher (from Khaos Tian and other developers) that works with QEMU and makes it possible to run the ARM64 version of Windows on Apple Silicon Macs, such as the Mac mini used in the test.
The YouTuber Martin Nobel has shared an amazing video where the process to be able to execute a virtualization of Windows ARM in Apple Silicon Macs is observed, and to be able to appreciate in real time the impressive general performance of the set, considering that it is an unofficial first test.
Surprisingly, Martin's Mac mini scored Geekbench much higher than Microsoft's Surface Pro X… nearly doubling the single-core result, and nearly 2.000 points higher in the multi-core score. Impressive, without a doubt.
