A bug in the Leica Monochrom camera removes the Apple Photos library

This is a problem that directly affects the library of the new application launched by Apple to replace iPhoto, Photos. This bug found can cause a real mess in the image library, leaving it clean of photos and videos due to a compatibility failure with file type DNG created by Monochrom Type 246 black and white camera.

The problem is serious and usually comes just when the camera user synchronizes with the Mac and the OS X application, it is just at that moment when the app closes unexpectedly and the files stored in the library become unusable. One thing to note is that the high price of this camera, about 7.200 euros, make it inaccessible and it doesn't seem to have caused much trouble.

On the other hand, Leica itself and Apple are already working on the problem, so it is assumed that the bug would be resolved in a minor update as soon as possible. While the problem persists, Leica itself communicates to users who have this model of camera and have a Mac with the Photos application, that use the Adobe Lightroom tool until the solution is found.

What a problem and annoyance that can cause bugs of this type to users who like me or you, have all the memories stored on the Mac and suddenly, they accidentally evaporate. From this what I get clear is that the library of photos or important documents always has to be accompanied by a backup.
