Make sure NameDrop is enabled on your iPhone
- First start the app Settings on your iPhone.
- Now you will have to go to General and then click on AirDrop.
- Now you will see the Ways to share.
- and activate «bringing devices closer», sliding the button to the right until it is displayed in green.

Enable name and photo sharing for contact card
In order to use NameDrop, you will need to enable the ability to share your personal data with others when you bring your devices together. To do so, follow the following steps:
- First access the application Phone on your iPhone.
- Now go to Contacts → My card, which is located at the top of contacts, with your name in bold, well highlighted.
- Click on the card, and now tap on the Poster and contact photo menu.
- A new menu will appear, where we will get a preview of our contact card, and how the friends we call will see us.
- Make sure name and photo sharing is enabled, the button on the right should be green.
- Finally, you should know that in this section, you can also edit the Name, and select how to "automatically share" said contact card.
How to use NameDrop in iOS 17
To use NameDrop on your iPhone with iOS17, follow the following steps, it's very simple:
- First bring the iPhone closer to the other iPhone or even an Apple Watch from someone else to share your contact details.
- Make sure devices are unlocked and with the screen active.
- As the NameDrop feature is activated, The different profiles will be displayed on the screens of both devices.
- Access the NameDrop function. Now, you must select Receive only or Share option on the interface. If one user selects Share, the other user must select Receive only.
