Since last March 14, Apple Stores are closed all over the world except in China, a country that reopened its stores at the end of April, although in limited hours. The latest news related to the opening of the rest of the Apple Store, suggest that May would be the month chosen by Apple, if the coronavirus allows it.
While in Spain we have to go through a series of phases to be able to regain a «normality», to call it somehow, in the United States, as in other European countries, they want to get back to normal as soon as possible, as Deirde O'Brien announced through a statement to its employees.
Simon Property Group, the largest shopping center owner in the United States, will reopen 49 of its shopping centers in early May, which could suppose the reopening of 13 Apple Store of the more than 200 that it has distributed in American territory. These stores are distributed by 7 states, in cities as important as Atlanta, Oklahoma City, Indianapolis and Austin.
At the moment it is unknown if the 13 stores in the Simon Property Group shopping centers are in which Apple is considering opening. If we consider that Deirde O'Brian stated that many of his stores will open sometime in May, it is likely that they are. These are the stores that Apple could open as of May 1:
