We know that most teachers and professors have ever used a spreadsheet when the course begins to keep track of your students' grades, observations and absences. I was one of those who made a new one every year to improve the one from the previous year. All of this means spending a lot of time on it if you want to do something acceptable.
Now for all those professionals who have an iPad, the time has come to completely change that laborious idea. There is a new app for iPad, which although at first it was known to few professionals and had some shortcomings, in a short time it has become a benchmark for the education sector. I'm talking about the iDoceo, or electronic teacher notebook.
When the application is opened, a screen is presented in which the groups that the teacher has are created. Once the groups are created, we enter the student's data and we can establish the qualification criteria at the top. We can easily configure the criteria taking into account the Basic skills on which the education system implemented in Spain is based.
In short, an application never seen before with the format and the possibilities it offers, allowing from the typical generation of notes, observations, absences, to the possibility of sending emails to the students with their notes, passing list in class format seeing their positions in the class with their photos, being able to assign values ​​to icons, having the diary in which you write down what was explained in class linked to each group, among many other possibilities that make it an essential application for today's ICT teacher and all of this being exportable the data to reports in PDF or CSV format.
An application totally in Spanish, with continuous updates based on the contributions of professionals in the sector and completely configurable. It also allows you to backup in clouds such as that of iCloud or Dropbox.
