Today we wake up with the least intriguing news and that is that Apple is going to begin to restructure the position of the products within the store in order to gain space on the display tables. The really funny thing is that they are going to place iPods on accessory shelves, disappearing from their place in the mythical exhibition tables.
On the other hand, goodbye is said to the concept of Apple Store 2.0 in which for each product an iPad was placed next to it with all its information. Now each product will be the one that shows its own information on its screen. It seems that the minimalism that Jony Ive and Angela Athrendts have established is beginning to take effect. However, Why do you want more space on the tables?
Gone will be the waiting for an employee to take a certain model of iPod from the warehouse. Now we will be able to take it directly from the shelves where the accessories are also located. It is a way to streamline sales of these devices without the need to make use of the store personnel.
Regarding the disappearance of the iPads that show the information on the tables of each of the products, it was time for them to disappear and the tables were somewhat less full of products. The initial concept of Apple Store 2.0 is thus left behind which was implemented four years ago to welcome a new information system using the screens of the devices that are in the exhibition.
These changes will begin to be seen in the US Apple Store from next week and we do not think it will be long until we see them also in the Spanish Apple Store and in other countries.
